Hi,

I bought a used toyota corolla 2002. The key has a remote with two buttons (red and green). The red closes the door but I don't what it the utility of the green. Also, I don't know how to set the alarm system on/off. I thought the system is disabled, but how can I find out? Also when the is on ON, and I push the green bouton, I hear the blinks about 9 or 10 times. My car is manual and the hand brake is in good condition.

Don't know the system. And since that's the case,
extraction and replacement would be advised.
In doing it that way, you start off fresh
with a sytem you know from scratch and new
transmitters.

Wish I had better news, but really, shoring
up an old system without knowing what it does
is not a good idea.
