Motorcycle Repair: 4-Cycle Engine Break-In, motorcycle engine, warm ups

Hi,

I have had about 1/2 dozen sportbikes over the past 10 years and have heard many different opinions on how to properly break in a brand new motorcycle engine.  I have tried 2 different methods(easy break-in and hard break-in) with interesting results.  Just wondered what your opinion was?

Adam, Most of the new 4 cycle engines have chrome,or electro-plated cylinders .The break in period is very rapid.You will want to allow the engine about 3 warm ups and the same cool down periods(20 min) ,Then ride it as you please. Good luck. Try me again. Glen
