Car Alarms: Alarm System For 1999 SUV, security alarm system, toyota 4runner

Question
Hello ALARMTEK,
I plan on searching until I can locate a fully loaded 1999 Toyota 4Runner SUV later this year from an online site such as Autotrader.com, one that will hopefully have a great security alarm system pre-installed, as I plan on putting some very nice wheels and tires on it.
What brand of SUV alarms might you recommend as some of the better ones out there? I'm wanting a system where I can receive an alarm on a cellphone, PC, or smart phone, whichever would be most economical and alerting me at the most maximum distance.
Would I be just as well off purchasing a preinstalled SUV alarm system and hire a technician to beef it up later on if needed, or would I be better off getting an SUV with no alarm system and having a new one installed? I hear the "Viper" brand is good, but is that just hype? So many reviews and false reviews out there.
What would be the best system(s)that wouldn't plague me or neigbors with false alarms? I wouldn't mind paying more for that quality of a system.

Thank you greatly.

Mike E.

Answer
Viper is way to high priced and does not have direct customer support.
It's also over blown, over wired, and is difficult to install unless
you are a certified DEI technician. I'd pass.

Have a look at the GALAXY 500 system at www.scytek.net .
This ticks off all of your boxes, for 1/3 of what DEI/Viper
would charge you for 1/2 of what it the 500 does.

I sell this with 2 years of GPS service for 299.
right now. great deal BTW. ;>)

Have a look.
