Car Alarms: i need help, alarmtek, asap thanks

good morning.  I have purchased a very used car from an individual about 2 months ago and it has a vesco security system on it.  this morning when I went out to start the car the dash lights were flashing along with the parking lights and the car wouldn't start.  I was not given any kind of information on this system from the seller so I assumed that it was not active and apparently I am seriously mistaking.  I need to know how to get this to reset/clear so that I can get the car back on the road.  this is my only means of transportation to get my daughter to the sitter and my only means of transportation to work and back.  please help me out with any suggestions that you may have in getting this resolved ASAP.
