Car Alarms: 2000 Grand Prix security system, fuel management systems, keyless entry pad

Question
I have a 2000 grand prix that is getting no power to the starter. Battery is good, starter is good, starter relay is good. I'm suspecting either the neutral safety switch or something with the alarm system. I tried resetting the alarm by turning key on for 12 minutes and then off for one minute, then tried to start and still nothing. Also tried resetting by pressing the alarm on and off buttons on the keyless entry pad until the horn honked once, then turned key on for 30 seconds, then tried to start and still nothing. I'm not familiar with these alarm systems, just going by things I found online. Oh, I also have no security light lit on the dash....only a flashing red light bulb on top of the dash. Any thoughts???? How can I check if alarm is not the issue??

I also tried moving the gear shift all around in park and neutral while trying to start....nothing.....that's why i'm suspecting the switch also.

Thank You

Answer
The PK3 TRANSPONDER

There is a small chip in the ignition key called a transponder.
When the key is inserted into the ignition switch it sends a
code to the vehicles computer through a receiver coil mounted
to the barrel.

Once the computer has identified it as a valid key,
it enables the starter and fuel management systems.

You would need GM to reset this system and
reprogram the keys.

Sorry but that's the real truth on this.
