Car Alarms: alarm going crazy on 99 chevy prizm, chevy prizm, vibration sensor

Question
I loaned my 99 Chevy Prizm to my x-wife for a week...she must have ran into something, broke passenger mirror and bent it into window and shattered my front passenger window. Well when i got car back she had ripped the wire out of the alarm horn because she couldn't get it to stop.  Well, i replaced window, but alarm wont stop flashing lights.  It flashes for awhile, sometimes my key remote can get it to stop for awhile, but then it starts up in few minutes. Sometimes it stops totally until i stop car.  But even when i get it to stop flashing lights, every few mins it makes the open door light in dash flash, and makes ticking sound. sometimes it just keeps making ticking sound after i got flashing to stop.  I just want it to disarm, but i tried using key and button by kick panel, that did nothing. Is there a vibration sensor or something that i can reset to make alarm stop? It just seems to do crazy stuff now..every day

Answer
Hmmmm,
Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONCE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.

This should toggle the alarm in and out of
valet/override.

If toggle type switch.
KEY ON, FLIP SWITCH, KEY OFF,
START THE CAR.

I hope this solved it for you.
If not. look forward to removal/replacement
or repair.
