Car Alarms: 2004 Chevy S-10 ZR 2 Alarm Problem, oem systems, passlock

Question
Within the last two months, there has been two times that the alarm on my truck went off all by itself.  I would grab my remote key for the truck, point it at the front of the truck to turn the blowing horn off and nothing happened.  I had to go to the truck while pressing the unlock button on the remote, get inside of the truck and start it before the horn stopped blowing.  I then pushed the lock button on the driver's side of the door after opening the door and the door lock motor did not lock the door.  I got out of the truck, shut the door and went in front of the truck and pressed the lock button on the remote.  When I did the horn started blowing again.  Again, I had to get inside the truck and start the engine before the horn stopped blowing.  I was unable to lock the door using the remote because each time I tried the horn would go off again.  Each time I had to start the engine to cut the horn off.  I am lost for words as to what the problem is.  Each time the alarm went off by itself, it was raining.  Maybe that is a clue.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanks, Johnny

Answer
First off, for shits n giggles, remove the battery from the
remote for now. Let's see if it's malfunctioning, or just needs a
fresh battery. If that is not the problem:

There are 3 possible systems at work here.

2 are OEM systems.
(1. PASSLOCK 1 and 2. horn honking head light flashing)

and then there'a the possiblity of
this being an after market system.

3. If wanting to deal with an after market,
I can't just share it openly as advised by this
website management due to liability
if the data is used in a crime, so for 5 bucks I send
along the solution for removing the alarm
and repairing wiring left after extraction at
www.DISARMALARM.com  and have an email to fall back on.

Now, if it's PASSLOCK 1, you will need to do a bypass and believe
me, this is the most common issue that 1996-1998
Cavalier/ Grand Am/Sunfire, Acheiva etc...owners have.

www.PASSLOCK1.com see number 1 or 3 depending on your situation.

on the OEM horn honking, it's key in the drivers door, turn left
then right to disarm this part of it's security.

Which ever one you need, I can
likely provide the solution.
