Car Alarms: 1997 Ford Explorer XLT car alarm, ford explorer xlt, power spikes

Question
I have a problem with the alarm going off when the car is sitting sometimesw one to 3 times a day perhaps twice a week.  I have started disconnecting my battery at night so the alarm does not go off.  You mentioned in a previous question fm someone else with the saqme problem.  You said to look under the dash for a button or toggle switch, and a possible blinking light.  I have looked under the dash but I have not seen anything like that.  Do I need to remove anything to get a better view of a certain location?  I want to either repair this or shut it off completely.  I woulod appreciate a feed back as soon as possible.

     Thank You

Answer
Ok, describe "going off"?
kEPP IN MIND oem/"FACTORY" alarms depend
on battery power spikes to trigger.

If old and not up to snuff, an OEM system
will report that by horn honk and headlights.

If doors are damaged, this too can cause
a reporting.

If after market, there is usually a siren
and it would flash the parking lights
and possibly have a vibration sensor set
too high.

Hard to tell from here.

Which applies?
