Car Alarms: Remote starter and factory alarm disarm, camaro firebird, alarmtek

Question
I purchased the Bulldog Deluxe 500 remote start for my 98 Trans Am. When looking over the install instructions I see that a line in the wiring diagram that says the Factory Alarm Disarm "Disarms with factory remote only". So before I get to installing this I want to confirm that if I use this remote starter, I will have to carry 2 key fobs. One to remote start the car and one to disarm the alarm. And I guess if this is true, a second question would be, is there another remote start product that will allow me to only need one remote to control the remote start and disable the alarm?

Answer
1996-1999 Camaro/Firebird is a tricky install
when trying to do this correctly.
To get around the issues you face here,
you will need the proper security bypass kit.
The PLJX will do this comfortably, and allow you to use
the Bulldog remote to do keyless entry and remote start
and will disarm the OEM system as well.

But for the best option to do the door locks
and the remote start with 1 remote is the XK06 kit
is the better choice for yours in particular.
Using this module, you won't have to do allot
of external wiring. The Module flashed with the firmware
to do the locks and the bypass as well as factory disarm
and trunk release too. It's 99.95 in my shop.

Let me know if you'd like to have one.
