Car Alarms: automate 8 passive to active, valet mode, passive mode

Question
I just bought a 1989 MR2 with an Automate 8 system installed.  I have put it in valet mode for now.  When not in valet mode, it is in Passive mode.  I would like to use the alarm in Active mode.  Can you tell me how to switch it from Passive to Active mode?

The "passive to active" feature setting procedure
would only be found in the manual for the alarm.

Then you can figure out the toglling procedure
to turn of the passive arming function.
