Car Alarms: Does my 95 Honda Civic LX have an alarm?, negative battery cable, negative cable

Question
QUESTION: Hi,

I bought a 1995 Honda Civic LX 4Dr Sedan from a seller who didn't know much about the car. It's a good commuter car w/ the usual old-car issues. One of the issues is that it "leaks" hot air into the cabin. Yesterday, I wanted to check the heating/cooling system, so I disconnected the negative battery cable. I've been screwed ever since. This is what I did:

1) Checked under-the-hood fuses & relays
2) Undid glovebox & removed blower motor, 4-pin resistor, & recirculation control motor
3) Autozone was about to close so I decided to do it next weekend.
4) Tried to reconnect negative battery cable & horn honked.
5) I thought maybe a circuit wasn't completing? (Is that even the right terminology?) So I put everything back together.
6) No luck. Horn honks whenever I try to reconnect negative cable.
7) Unhooked the power at the horn.

Now when I try unlock & open driver door:

1) Flashing hazard lights for about a minute then stops.
2) Red light left of steering wheel flashes 3X, pauses, 3X, pauses, etc. Repeats pattern ad nauseum.
3) Power locks now work (forgot to mention that they stopped before).
4) Engine won't crank over.

Does this sound like an alarm to you? If it is an alarm, What do I do to locate/disarm/remove it?

Thanks in Advance,
Victor

ANSWER: It's after market.

This comes up allot!

So to tackle this issue,
I have designed a web site with
this very situation in mind.

Since providing this kind of data
online and openly for all to read
is not a good idea, and can lead to misuse,
I have designed a website that offers
disarm, disable or, removal data direct
to the owner of the vehicle by email.

That way I have a trail in case the
information is found to be used in
an attempted theft.

We can do that for you too.
Go to www.REMOVESECURITY.com
to aquire information on removing
your alarm system.

Good luck with it.

QUESTION: Hi,m

Exactly what is a "SECURITY DISARM AND OR REMOVAL data chart"? Is there a satisfaction guarantee? I have a wiring diagram & flow chart from the manual.

I was maybe gonna re-purpose/re-use the alarm, if possible. I need help finding the control module, re-purposing the alarm, etc. Can you help me with that?

I was gonna donate something for your time anyway if the solution was satisfactory. Should I buy the chart or donate?

Thanks

Answer
The chart shows the wire locations, colors and designation
to install or remove an alarm. Any generic after market device that's
attached to them would be cut out and taped off.

Repairing, shoring up, or re purposing sounds good from the top,
however the trouble comes in when you do not know what wire
is which on the security device. You can gleen from my notes,
and can extrapulate this info but determining what each
wire designaion is for, is most important
to re install it since no manual exists for it.

I supply the vehicle wiring for the project at hand.

So it's up to you. I do my best to give the installer/buyer
what they need to safely extract and install an alarm.
There is no guaranty on virtual information, but
my track record since 1994 speaks for itself.

(read my credentails on the profile page)

Either wey, if trying to re-use it, keep in mind
you need to know what it does and how
to control it. Look around for the manual online.
Very helpful.

Good luck.

A.
