Car Alarms: Disable truck alarm, alarmtek, factory oem

Question
I have a 1993 Ford Raqnger with a factory alarm. I haven't used the alarm in years and do not have the remote. I was hooking up my battery when it reactivated the alarm. Now the car will not start and the alarm keeps going on. I tried disconnecting and replacing the negative wire to deactivate the alarm, but it does not help. How do I disable the alarm?
