Questioni have a 96 nissan maxima, i went out to get in it and the car alarm went off and i wouldnt start. how do i reset the alarm and make the car start again? my car does not have the keyless start button, it has to be started with a key.
AnswerHmmmm, well it's Likely going to be factory if it's
the car's own horn honking.
However, if it's a siren and flashing lights,
it's after market.
So, ok, here's what I know...
Normally, putting the key in the drivers side door lock,
turning to the left, then to the right all the way
will unlock and disarm/reset the "OEM factory"
alarm system.
Unfortunately, that's the extent of what I can or should

(Actually, it's also legally prescribed for me not to.)
