Car Alarms: Car Alarm not working, honda civic lx, pursuit car

Question
I have 1996 HONDA Civic Lx with Pursuit Car Alarm with remote key. I am the original owner. The alarm was off for last few years (toggle switch set to off).

Last week, the alarm mysteriously set on (LED is blinking)and would not let us start the car. I can no longer get the remote to work(even replaced the remote key battery) and cannot find the toggle switch anymore (used to be under the dash, on the drivers side) What, if any, wires should be cut and rejoined? There are only 2 wires to LED : red & blue. The battery was replaced a year back, and I do not see Alarm wires.

PLEASE HELP as the alarm sets off as soon as we close the door. I need to get to work. Cannot even take it to auto shop, since it will not start.

Answer
Ok then, get over to the local car alarm shop,
or Best Buys will have a valet switch that
will fit for your
alarm.

In the mean time, cut off the switch part,
leaving the 2 wires that were connected, free.

Then twist together, turn on the ignition,
hold both wires to ground until the siren chirps.

That should reset and place the alarm into
over ride for now. Nothing accept the keyless entry
if installed will operate until you repeat the
same steps.

Then get a new switch and you're all set.

Have a good day.
Let me know if you were
successful.
