Car Alarms: car alarm keeps going off, spark 2, alram

Question
QUESTION: We have a 2001 i30 infinity.  when we unlock the car with the key (not keyless) the alarm goes off.  We have tried both locking with the key on driver side and locking by holding inside door release and locking with lock button.  Both result in alram going off.  Our keyless fob has a broken unlock button so cant use that.  Any ideas how to lock and unlock car without the alarm going off?  (Factory alarm based on other info we found)

ANSWER: Please be more descriptive if possible.

"GOING OFF?"

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Ok let's clear up the terminology glitch here.

1. FACTORY/OEM alarm = Part of the original schematics
and plans from the manufacturer.
(horn honk, head lights flash, Starter may crank and
die, no spark)

2. DEALER INSTALLED alarm = Just that. Once the vehicle
is brought to a dealer, the dealer sub contracts the after market
security out.
(horn might honk, siren and parking lights flash, starter kill relay,
no start, no crank, just dead.)

3. AFTER MARKET alarm: Same as #2 but Customer IS AWARE that
the system was put in at the dealership, but may not
be informed of the brand name, or even what it's
total capabilities are.
(siren & parking lights flash, starter kill)

Which one applies to yours?

QUESTION: A little confused - our original question specified that the alarm was factory.  We have solved the problem by pulling the alarm fuse.  We verified that other operations continue to work

ANSWER: Clarify what you have please.

Is there a siren?
Is there a starter disable?

When alarm "goes off" does it honk the horn or not?

QUESTION: The alarm is a horn with flashing lights etc - the factory install

Answer
There is a wire you can ground to completely turn off
the noise making, headlight flashing part of this security
system, but it may create a problem with the
OEM vehicle transponder (ignition fuel rail cut off system).

See, in your key is a pellet embeded in it that matches
the reader in the ignition column. Wrong key, and it will pop
the transponder, shut off the fuel line, and not allow it to start.

It is part of the system. By grounding the security wire I spoke of,
you may mess with this part of the system which would lock you down
and won't let you start it again unless Infinity unlocks it for you.

It "MAY" happen. But it also may not and you might
be able to circumvent. Problematic, but if you
insist upon this type of disabling,
You would need to go to my site
www.WIRINGCHARTS.com and get the right chart.
Ya see, the disabling procedure info for any given
specific vehicle is now deemed to be too sensitive to
publish here (as suggested by ALLEXPERTS administration.!).

So, to comply, as of March,22 08, this service is no longer
part of the volunteer information I can offer for free here at
ALLEXPERTS.com . Specific OEM/FACTORY alarm disarm/disabling
info is now available ONLY at the WIREWERX.

My installation wiring charts provide the proper wire colors,
polarities, and locations to install a keyless entry,
remote start or, car alarm system into any given vehicle,
or if just trying to disarm/disable your factory/OEM system,
there is a link there to get a tutorial on how to do it yourself
for only $4.99.

I hope you can appreciate the legal reasons behind not
providing this info any longer to just anyone who asks
for general consumption. By doing it this way, I'll
get a record of payment and a name/email address as
a stop gap to help prevent any unauthorized disabling of
your system or anyone else's, by a would be car thief!

Please go to the WIREWERX so I can get you the
info you require to fix your situation.

Good luck with this issue.
