QUESTION: my factory alarm goes off for no reason about six times a week, how can I stop this from happening, are there wires i can unhook or cut? very aggravated, starting to do it more frequently. it only happens if the light don't flash two times after the doors are locked and shut. please help.  Thank You

ANSWER: Please be more descriptive if possible.

"GOING OFF?"

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Ok let's clear up the terminology glitch here.

1. FACTORY/OEM alarm = Part of the original schematics
and plans from the manufacturer.
(horn honk, head lights flash, Starter may crank and
die, no spark)

2. DEALER INSTALLED alarm = Just that. Once the vehicle
is brought to a dealer, the dealer sub contracts the after market
security out.
(horn might honk, siren and parking lights flash, starter kill relya,
no start, no crank, just dead.)

3. AFTER MARKET alarm: Same as #2 but Customer IS AWARE that
the system was put in at the dealership, but may not
be informed of the brand name, or even what it's
total capabilities are.
(siren & parking lights flash, starter kill)

Which one applies to yours?

QUESTION: Factory alarm.....lights and horn ONLY .

ANSWER: Ok, normally, you would insert the key in
the drivers door, turn left, then right
to disarm and reset it. Yours was reset.
Try key in the drivers door, turn left, then
right to disarm and unlock.

Should in this case too.

QUESTION: Thank you for helping, but I know how to disarm it,I'm trying to figure out how to stop it from happening for no reason. Like why does it happen and how can I stop it from happening?

Answer
Factory alarms are triggered by batter drain or a spike.
That's the only way. If a door opens, the dome light goes
on=drain etc...

In this case, check the Battery for good solid ability.
Then once changed out if needed, if the factory alarm
triggers, look for an open circuit, damaged door pins,
dome light on etc...
