Car Alarms: Motion sensor \ system recommendation, simple car alarm, rims wheels

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix....what is the most cost effective way to get/install a motion sensor. I have had 2 sets of tires and rims stolen and I want a system that will go off if the car is shaken. Can a sensor be wired into the "factory" system. My car is also equipped with a factory remote system...Thanks

ANSWER: A simple car alarm with a shock sensor or, an 5% angle (tilt)
sensor is needed here.

& No, you can not tie into a factory alarm to get the result
you wanted here. Not set up for that in the 06' Pontiacs.

To put together a system with shock impact and
a tilt sensor would run about 110.00 and would protect
the rims/wheels/door entry and provide warn away,
siren, flash the lights, starter kill etc... Add another
80. to 100.00 if wanting to extend the range to up to a mile,
and have a 2 way transmitter that will actually report
when something is happening to the alarm, and then sends
the signal to your key chain remote. Very good protection.

If looking for a complete package to install right out of the box,
I can put you into a good one. Let me know.

QUESTION: Can you give me an estimate for the system you recommend and set up installation? I would like to keep the remote start the factory system has. I live in the OcoeeOrlando FL area.

Answer
I would check that and do the math before you
take that cheaper quote.

No I don't price match here , but the tilt sensor
by itself sells for 40.00 above and beyone the
cost of the alarm and it's shock/impact sensor.

one detects impact, the other angle change like if the
wheels are being stolen (as you asked for).

So you are getting BOTH sensors?

I do charge for shipping (small buisnesses must)
but my cost also includes online/email notes for
the project and phone technical
support to you or you installer if needed.

Hopefully, you will get that from the cheaper
company as well. Good luck with your project.

In any event. You wanted to know what I suggested,
and there you have it. Stay safe.
