Car Alarms: 05 GMC Sierra Remote Start Problem, gmc sierra, battery gauge

Question
Hi there,

I've just finished installing a Viper 5301 remote start kit on my 05 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab.  For a bypass I used DLPKGM.  The programming of the bypass was successful, and I was able to get the remote start to function just fine.  However roughly a week after the install I’m having a problem.  The dash warning lights in my truck occasionally come on and back off again.  This didn't happen until I installed this kit, and it didn’t happen first off.  I've had the battery light come on, the airbag light come on, the ABS light come on, and the brake light come on.  They all flicker on for a few seconds and back off again at random except for the battery light which normally comes on about 10 minutes into driving highway and stays on.  However the battery gauge shows the truck at normal range and the truck seems just fine with no problems relating to these lights.  I'm curious as to if I have a bad bypass module?  I know this connects directly to the Data OBD2 wire on the truck so I’m wondering if the bypass is sending out junk to the truck and turning lights on and off.  I have the bypass module hooked up via D2D connection.  However when I hooked it up this way the locks wouldn’t function so I left the D2D connection hooked up and then hard wired the door locks by attaching the lock wires on the bypass to the lock wires on the remote start.  I was then able to get them to function.  The only other problem I have, not related to the dash light problem is that I get an extra honk when I lock the truck.  I went into the menu and turned off the error honk option, but it still double honks.  In the manual it states that if it double honks it means it senses a door is open.  I had the door pin wire hooked up on the remote start, but upon hearing the double honking I unhooked it and still no avail.  Also when I lock the truck with the Viper remote, if I wait until the inside dome lights turn off and then push lock, the truck locks, the horn honks once, the dome lights come on for about a second, shut back off, and then the truck gives the second honk.  If the truck is running either by remote start or by key, the second error honk is not present.  I mainly need the help with the dash light issue, but I’m wondering if all these minor glitches are related to the bypass possibly being bad!  I appreciate the help in advance!  Let me know if you need additional information.

Thanks,
        Tyler
