Car Alarms: APS2K4MS Prestige Starter, car alarm installation, alarmtek

This is installed in my wife's 2004 Cadillac escalade.  On her remote starter/door opener the green light is on and she cannot open the doors.  It actually started after she used the fob to lock the doors.  When she went to unlock later it would not work.  She opened with key and alarm activated.  She started the vehicle but it quit when brake was applied.  We were able to shut off alarm by using door locks inside vehicle.  Now green light on fob is on and it doesn't work.  Is the remote dead?
