Car Alarms: Inwell 1386-3528 car alarm auto-arming!, car alarm system, sense wire

Question
Hi, I have an Inwell Model #1386-3528 car alarm installed in
my altezza. Link (http://www.globalsources.com/gsol/I/Two-
way-LCD-Car-Alarm-System/p/bg/1002402471.htm) This keeps
arming itself 30 secs after you close the drivers door
whether keys are in ignition or not. (Not very good when you
get petrol and have a passenger in the car, when you hop out
it sets itself, you come back and alarm goes off when you
open door etc etc) Please Help! How do i disable this?
Thanks

Answer
Mark,
There must be an ignition sense wire and
a feature adjustment in the alarm's programming
that toggles between active armint (what you want)
and passive arming (what it's doing now).

Go into your manual to see how to set that function.
Then re check the door pin switch connection and the ignition
source you are using and correct these, especially the igniton
sense. This determines if the alarm is correctly arming
or disarming depending on the key position in the ignion.
If correct, it would NOT ARM if in the on or running
position. Sounds mis connected. If the keys are simply IN the
ignition but not on, then yes, the passive arming mode
would go into play, so I'd go into the manual and reset
that to active or, USER CONTROL mode so it will not
arm until told to do so.

Make these correction and my bet is you will enjoy
and use the system to your advantage.
