Car Alarms: skytek G20 Install Question, domelight, car alarms

Question
QUESTION: I've just make a new install of car alarm for my 1996 Honda Accord.  When I
arm the system, the parking lights flash like they are supposed to, but when I
unarm the system, the parking lights and the dash illumination comes on the
chime inside chimes like the key in the ignition, when the door is open.  It all
times out when the dome light shuts off.   The only wierd thing about the
dome light, is I put a relay on it, and it burns nice and bright like it should.
The wire from the domelight is 5 volts when it is on, and then goest to
12volts when it powers off...  If i disconnect the parking wire, everything
works fine, just no light flash.

dome light illuminatio
ANSWER: Sounds like too much amperage on the wrong
wire possibly. See the negative type
dome light illumination relay pic
attached to make sure you are doing this
correctly and let me know if you did it.

On the G20 the dome light illumination wire is
BLACK/WHITE and goes to the input on the relay.

The dome light wire is BLACK/WHITE IN THE ACCORD AS WELL
(-) JUST TO THE RIGHT OF COLUMN IN THE "GRAY PLUG".

You are also attaching the GREEN wire to the Black/White
wire in the Accord, same place but before
the dome light relay, to cover the (-) door trigger,
annd the BLUE wire on the G20 for the trunk pin switch.
Do not connect the PURPLE wire on the G20 for this car.
(Fords only)

And that should be that. ;>)

Good luck.

Domelight wire
QUESTION: I used the negative Domelight

Feel like the Domelight Relay is correct.
86 - is connected to the same 12 v as the red wire is on the G20
85 - is connected to the G20 via black/white wire
30 - connected to ground
87 - is conncted to accord domelight wire.(black/white) on right side of
steering column in gray connector, which measure 12v when off and 5v when
on

One thing, I haven't done is to connect the green wire of G20 to the Accord
door trigger.  I haven't found that wire yet?  That's my next step.

I also didn't connect the blue wire to the trunk pin switch, because since it is
a manual trunk lever, I didn't think it would help my any.

I included a picture of the dome wire that I'm attaching to (with the red
terminal in the pic).  It is located on right hand side of the steering column
looking up.

Answer
That's also the door trigger wire. Put the Green to it.
And yes, do the trunk pin switch as it is not common to
the rest of the doors. Arm the system, wait
10 secs and then use key to open the trunk.
If it goes off, need to pin it with the Blue wire.
TRUNK/HATCH PIN|orange|-|gray plug right of column.
