Car Alarms: Delta car alarm issue, dodge caravan, car locks

I have a 97 dodge caravan and had to recently replace the remote battery (remote FCC id# J5523518T1)now when I push the #1 button on my two button remote the car lights will flash like the alarm is turning off or on but my car locks will no longer unlock. I am afraid to try key opening the doors and setting off the alarm and not being able to shut if off. What can I do? The services stations I call don't deal with car alarms and I would rather not go through a dealer. Thank you in advance!

Probably a burnt circuit or it's a misconnected wire.
Take this to a car alarm/stereo installation shop
for evaluation and repair or replacement.
Best Buys has asuch a department for instance.

Then go from there. To many variables
to simply diagnose from here.

Best idea is to have it inspected.
