Car Alarms: Car alarm problems, honda cr v, 12 volt

My 2007 Honda CR-V alarm when off all of a sudden. I tried pushing the buttons on my key and starting my car, but nothing worked. I pressed every button in my car and open and closed all of the doors. In my frantic state I must have pressed something and my alarm shut off. Then, I unlocked drivers side door and the alarm went off again and again I pressed all of the buttons and open and closed all of the doors. Again, the alarm shut off, but I do not know what I did to turn it off. Why is this happening and how do I turn the alarm off if it happens next time?
