Car Alarms: remote start, honda accord coupe, resident technicians

Question
I have an alarm with remote start that I installed in a 96 4cyl honda accord coupe.  When I press button for remote start everything starts and runs great, but then a minute or two it shuts off and then goes through the sequence of starting again only to shut off a minute later and do the whole thing again.  Sometimes when it tries to restart the starter won't disengage even after the car starts.  This led me to believe that it alarm isnt seeing the rpms so then I go to reprogram the rpms after letting the car warm up to idle temp.  When programming, the button is pressed with the car on so that the alarm will pick up the rpms confirmation from the alarm that it picked up the rpm is that the flashers of the car will flash twice if not, then only once.  What happens that it wont pick up the rmps and so then I disconnect the rmp input wire and then reconnect it and then it will pick up the rmps.  After reprogramming the rpms the remote start will work again correctly for a few days and then do the same thing again.  Any Ideas?

Answer
Away for vacation!
But the forum is still open.

Please, if you would, restate this question
in my installers forum at www.installsupport.com
and see if my resident technicians there can assist
with this project. (ask for Robert!)

He can go into a more detailed assistance
you might need on this project.

Good luck there.
