Why does my not work for the trunk of my car? I mean even though i have alarm but i still can't use my key for anything besides the glove compartment and ignition. I thought that i could use the key to open the trunk even if i had an alarm.

Answer
It would depend on 1. if the installer
decided to wire up the trunk release or not
(IF YOURS IS AN ELECTRIC TRUNK), and
2. the car you have it installed in.

If it's a mechanical type trunk release,
a truck pop kit would be needed.

That's probably
why you can only do keyless entry.
