Car Alarms: Rav 4 alarm, horn sound, rav 4

Hello, can you help as my 2001 rav4 alarm goes off normally at night/early hours. The alarm sound is not horn sound siern sound and i cant tell if its factory fitted or not as alarm works from Toyota key phob. The alarm does not go off if i hand lock doors from inside? WHY IS THIS AND HOW DO I STOP IT PLEASE

Not certain of the system, but MOST knock/impact
sensors have a wheel inset into it to turn up or down
(counter clockwise is down).

Locate the sensor under the dash and turn down or
simply unplug it. Should be a little oblong box
wire tied up high under the dash, and would
blink when it detects vibration.
