Car Alarms: car alarm, ford service, car ignition

Question
I have a 1997 Ford Expedition and the car acts like it's out of gas and won't start. I beleive it's the alarm. I don't have tranmitters. The RED THEFT light is flashing when car ignition is turned on. We thought it was the fuel pump and we replaced it.
thank you

Answer
It's Ford's PATS fuel rail cutoff system.

The IM04-PKFORD bypass kit is what you need here
for remote starter applications or,
to terminate your PATS system for good.

The only thing you need for this to work is:

1. IT WILL REQUIRE THAT YOU HAVE 2 ORIGINAL IGNITION
KEYS TO PROGRAM THE IM04-PKFORD KIT.

THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE MUST BE
ABLE TO START AND RUN FOR AT LEAST
1 MINUTE TO ALLOW FOR THE IM04-PKFORD MODULE
TO BE PROGRAMMED!  IF IT DOES NOT START NOW,
A RELAY WILL BE NEEDED AS WELL.

The IM04-PKFORD PATS Bypass Kit will help as long
as you can follow direction and can have this
interfaced correctly to solve the issue.

*We suggest taking it to a local car alarm
remote starter/stereo installer to have this
done as FORD service WILL NOT do it.
They're interest is in FIXING the PATS
issue, not circumventing, getting around or,
bypassing it for you. There's no money in
that for them!

& that's really all there is to it.
Once purchased, I will forward all working
notes for your vehicle, the .PDF for the IM04-PKFORD  PATS kit
for your study prior to installation,
and it will be shipped within 24 hours.
