Car Alarms: Stinger Alarm, 2001 bmw 740il, bmw 740il

I just bought a 2001 BMW 740il and it has a Stinger Alarm so I think.
I didn't know what the controller was and when my car wouldn't start, I tried pushing the controller and she fired right up. I didn't have to push the botton the fist 10 times I started the car now it seems to happen almost every time?  Where do I get directions?  I changed the battery in the controller because the button doesn't seem to work every time only sometimes?  Any tips?  Where can I ready about this system?  I have to sit and play with the button and sometimes it gets pretty old  already.
