Audio Systems: car radio replacement, auto parts suppliers, ford radio

Question
Got Ford Tautus "94. The cassette player does not work (the cassette does not go down), and thats why i cannot make CD plaer work. What can i do about it? If i buy a new radio, will i be able to replace it myself and whats is the best way to do it?

Answer
Hello K,
The radio may only have a very simple and easy to repair problem. Contact me direct for info on having your radio repaired if you care to. As for replacing the radio, if you purchase an after market radio such as a kenwood or Pioneer you will need the wiring harness adapter that you plug the Ford radio plug into. This adapter has pig tail wires that allows you to connect the new radio with little trouble. You will also need the plastic dash adapter to hold the new radio in place. you can find the wire adapter and the dash adapter at most auto parts suppliers.
