Car Alarms: 2004 Honda accord alarm problem, valet mode, honda accord

Hello experts i have a 2004 honda accord sedan with a factory alarm system which sort of stopped working. For example if i press the unlock button on the remote it doesn't do anything, i need to put the key in the drivers door and unlock it that way. Now when i leave the car i close the door and hit lock on the remote and it doesn't do anything, in order for me to lock the car i open my driver door and lock the door with my hand and all the doors lock and i close the door and if i press the lock button on the remote again then the alarm would beep telling me it's activated. how can i fix this??

You might need to have Honda look at this.
If the remotes have lost programming or
need replacement, they can confirm that.

If it's after market and a siren is part
of this equation, this may be in valet mode
and needs resetting. But hard to say from
the explaination given.
