Car Alarms: alarm sound at exit, fresh batteries, dodge stratus

I have a 2003 dodge stratus sxt. The alarm will sound when I exit the car, it doesn't matter if the car is running or not. Both the keyless entry clickers are disabled(no batteries). How can I fix the alarm sounding when I exit. No lights flash it just sounds.

oK, well start with fresh batteries.
This car depends on the remotes to disarm the car.

You can try key in drivers door, turn far left then far right
to unlock/disarm. The factory system would disengage and
you are good to go. But fix the battery issue.
ALLOT easier.
