Car Alarms: how do I tell what model viper alarm system I have?, google search, support question

I recently purchased a 1984 corvette and it came with an alarm system in it.
on the key fob it says its a viper but I'm not sure what model it is and I'm not sure what functions its has.
I do know that I had the alarm active and I went to wipe down the car and the alarm went off just by touching the car.
I do not know if that helps at all.
