Car Alarms: clifford alarm goes off untill i disconnect the brain box, clifford alarm, google search

i have an old clifford alarm when i brought the car from a private seller they informed that there was an alarm fitted on the car that it was a clifford but they had disconnected the box as one day it worked fine then decided it wanted to set itself off and not turn off unless the brain box was disconnected i plugged it back in to try it and still to this day not found the reason for it.it used to control central locking by remote aswell
