Car Alarms: How to disable a Silencer car alarm, nissan altima, silencer car

Hi, I have a 1997 Nissan Altima that has a Silencer car alarm. The alarm is just actually a 'kill switch' key that is right under the dash and the steering wheel column to the right of the steering wheel. I have a new battery and alternator but my car still will not start, so I figured it has to be the Silencer alarm. My question is how to I either bypass or disable the alarm? I know you have answered this question before but I cannot find the info. Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
