Car Alarms: auto page RS720, auto responder, car battery

Question
The car has been untouched for the last 10 days fully armed. The battery has died down and doors has to be opened manually. battey been changed today. On re-installing the new battery, the alarm just went off completely and annoyingly the transmitter wont be able to dis-arm the alarm. Tried to replace battery in transmitter but no response from the alarm module. have to disconnect the car battery to stop the siren. Please advice. Thanks Guru..
