Car Alarms: Viper Car Alarm, Disable Passive Arming, jeep wrangler, google search

I recently bought a jeep wrangler with a viper car alarm installed (or so I think. I tried locating the brains of the alarm and couldnt find it. the remote thing says viper on it so i'm assuming its a viper alarm.) the alarm has a remote starter included. after you disable the alarm from the remote to get into the car, 30 seconds later the alarm reactivates automatically (if the car isnt started). how do you disable the alarm from automatically reactivating after 30 seconds? i would like to be able to turn it on when i want and turn it off when i want. thanks
