Car Alarms: 2000 Alero, power cells, battery cables

Hello Bob,

I just bought your bypass module and my GM certified mechanic installed it. Everything is working fine, but the "Service engine soon" light is on. I bought the car new and have never had the light come on before. My mechanic is coming by tomorrow to look at it, but thought I would run it by you, and see if you had any insite, to what might be causing it.

Hi,
 Have him start by Zeroing out the power completely,
(including in the capacitors-battery cables removed,
then touch the red lead to frame to empty power
cells) then re program the module.

I think by resetting the power will also turn
off the cluster light.

let me know what he discovers.
