Car Alarms: chapman Alarm, negative battery cable, damn caps

Question
I have a 1978 Lincoln that has a security system. It seems to be a Chapman. The negative battery cable had a red-orange fastening block that says Chapman and has wires molded though it. This system is not allowing the vehicle to be started and I would like to disable it. The system had some type of motion detector, siren, doorlocks and a key actuated hood lock. It had a an ignition kill switch mounted under the dash on the driver side. MY COIL REGISTERS NO CURRENT. i AM WONDERING IF THE SWITCH IS THE CULPRIT. i HAVE SEVERED (PleaseExcuse these damn caps)all visible wires to this system and I am assuming the damn thing has another secret wire that needs to be disabled. The Lincoln runs like a champ when this security system isn't screwing with it.
