Car Alarms: Viper Keyless entry, keyless entry systems, car alarms

Question
I've been looking at a car I want to buy and it has a Viper system with it. Its a three button remote and the dealer that has it says the alarm comes on when you push the lock/unlock button. What if anything could be wrong with it, and is there anywhere to take it to have it fixed if there is something wrong?
