Car Alarms: 2002 Mitsubishi diamanté factory alarm, alarmtek, door switch

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2002 Mitsubishi diamanté and the factory car alam seems to keep going off when the doors are opened. I have managed to stop the horn from going off but everytime I open the door or start the car the lights flash the same way as it did when horn and the rest of the alarm was going off. how do I just disable the whole factory alarm?

ANSWER: Hmmmm, Likely to be factory if it's the car's own horn honking.
However, if it's a siren and flashing lights, it's after market.

Ok, here's what I know...

Normally, putting the key in the drivers side door lock,
turning to the left, then to the right all the way
will unlock and disarm/reset the "OEM factory"
alarm system. If the disarm wire in the door
is broken or disabled, this needs repair
to get the control you need.

You could buy the chart for the car and try to disable
that way, but really, it appears the door switch
on the drivers side need to be inspected as the culprit
as it directly controls the OEM alarm

If wanting more detail on this.,
please go to the WIREWERX so I can get you the
info you require to fix your situation.

Good luck with this issue.

QUESTION: I tried putting the key in the drivers side door like I used to be able to and the key won't fit now. I had lost the keys previously and the car sat out side for about 2 months then I found the original key and the lock on the drivers side won't take the key but it works on the passenger side. if there is wiring in the drivers side that needs to be fixed is that something I could do at my house or do I need to take it in to a shop to fix?

Answer
Only way is to replace the assembly on the drivers
door so that the key you have also disrams the
system No quick fix here since the locks and the
alarm are 1 in the same. Mutually exclusive.

The physicall action of the lock and unlock arms and disarms
the alarm part of it.

Repair is the only way to insure improvement.
