Car Alarms: stolen car alarm remote, stolen car, car alarm

We were robbed a week ago and felt like we heard my boyfriends alarm disarm, but he didn't do anything. We think someone in our complex might have our extra alarm remote, which was taken during the robbery. Is there anything we can do to reprogram the alarm so that the extra remote will not work with the truck anymore??

Depends on the alarm.
 Most will only take 4 transmitters programmed to it.
You would need to identify the alarm, program a new remote
to it according to is operational manual,
and do that 4 times. It will shut out the stolen one.

If not, remove the old system and replace.
