Car Alarms: Steel Mate Car Alarm, steel mate car alarm, resident technicians

I have a remote that failed on my alarm when it was armed have manage to track down a replacement remote from company with old stock on hand. But they no instructions on how to de activate the unit so i can code the new remote to alarm the only numbers I can find on the unit is SW2  SM2021-5 an seem to have by manufactured in 2007
