Car Alarms: Need to have alarm installed?, viper alarm, buick regal

I have a 2002 Buick Regal.  It came with remote door locks and an alarm system that blows the car horn.  I recently received a Viper 350 Plus alarm.  My question is whether it is worthwhile to have the new alarm installed or just continue to use the OEM alarm.  Is there an advantage to using the Viper alarm?
