Car Alarms: truck alarm is armed - security fob is lost, alarmtek, optonline net

Question
How can I disengage or disarm the Auto-Mate alarm system in my truck until I can get the remote replaced?  I have an extra key, the locksmith is here but the alarm is going like mad.  Is there a series of steps to take to disarm it?
