Car Alarms: remote start bypass mod, code alarm, remote start

I just installed a ultra remote start sys to my 2000 ford explorer using a code alarm pku-f1 bypass mod.I wired and programmed it using the ncluded instructions but it will only start remotely with key in ignition.Is it possible that the pku-f1 is not the correct bypass mod for my vehicle?I need help so i can get it going.Is there another step i need to program the pku-f1?Thanks for any advice you all can give me!!!!

The Bypass is installed wrong. I have never used it, but if you
need to put the key in the ignition to get it to remote start,
the transponder is not bypassed and the kit you have is not working
as suggested.

We use the PKFM-IM04 bypass in our shop.
You might want to try that.
