Motorcycle Repair: lower and rake, triple trees, stock length

Question
How many degrees of rake do I need to put in my front end for every inch I lower the rear end in order to keep the bike level with a stock length front end?  How much rake do I put in the frame/how much in the trees?

Answer
In order the rake the frame you have to cut it, bend it and weld it back. You can get pre raked triple trees to do what you need to do. You can also, make the forks longer by adding longer tubes.
As to the lowering, jack the bike up and lower the rear end to where you want it, making sure the frame is level. Then with a protractor check the angle of the neck, to see what degree you need. remember, going to low will make the rear tire hit the fender, unless you are working on a hardtail
Good luck and happy riding
