Car Alarms: 1999 jeep grand cherokee, jeep grand cherokee, having a nightmare

Im having a nightmare by back hazard lights will not stop flashing on my jeep even when the engine is off and car is locked. local garage man said he thinks its the alarm but cant touch it and should go to main dealer. is there any way i can shut the alarm off and still use my car as this might stop the flashing
