Car Alarms: viper alarm wont let me start truck, google search, support question

viper alarm from 06 to 07 i believe, changed battery and now it won't start, took your advice about the valet switch and it will chirp once but the light on the column won't go solid,truck still won't start, if i turn the key back off then let go off the valet switch the led goes solid but the truck won't start. i'm sure i got the process down but still no luck
