Car Alarms: Factory Alarm on 2k Honda Accord goes off byitself, alarmtek, dash area

Question
QUESTION: Hi, I have a 2000 Honda Accord and its a factory alarm,  now since last night whenever i leave the car and lock the doors after 2 min the alarm goes off for no reason.  It goes on for about 2 min and stops and then restarts again.  Is there anyway to disable this alarm or a way to diagnose whats causing it?

Thanks

ANSWER: Please be more descriptive if possible.

"GOING OFF?"

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.

QUESTION: its factory alarm , its going off about 2 min after its armed.  Headlight flashing and horn going off.. its a accord SE.  I have to leave the car unlocked for the alarm not to work for now.  Led on the door with a led marked security flashes when i lock the doors

Answer
The factory system is "seeing" an open light or, battery voltage
change (up or down) and is reporting it.

This usuall denotes a damaged door trigger, or possible
a power dain from a plugged in device or, even a
bad alternator or battery.

First off, have these inspected. to see if it corrects the situation
when found and attended to.

Then if still no joy, move onto circumventing it for
good.
