Car Alarms: Ford Vehicle Security System, vehicle security system, valet mode

Question
I have a 2004 Freestar with this Ford Vehicle Security System. Must be dealer installed, since I found a couple modules under the dash and they are attached by plastic tie straps to other wires and such. The vehicle electrical system has suddenly gone nuts (horn honking on its own, buzzing and clicking relays, no dash lights, no start...) and it started with having to put the security system back into valet mode even though I never took it out of valet mode (I haven't been using the system - it was on the car when I bought it). I want to remove or at least disable the system, and see if the electrical system gets back to normal and the car will actually run again. Is there an easy way to disconnect/disable it?
